Brilliant research!

Brilliant research! If we see the outcomes of both negotiating and NOT negotiating, and realize that female hires are punished both ways, we know the problem is with the hiring process itself.

Author of the studies that gave rise to the “women don’t ask” industry - Linda Babcock herself - has shown that women don’t negotiate for a very simple reason: they sense – correctly – that it will hurt them if they do.
