For this first trip, I spent my time focusing on historic buildings. They were enough for my three days there to keep me completely occupied!

I took a few photos in Taipei, Taiwan, during my birthday trip to Asia.
I am still processing what I saw there, which includes futuristic buildings, ancient-looking temples for various belief systems, locally made paper (banana paper! pith paper!), and an interesting combination of influences from other regional cultures, which lends the city a complex physical texture.

In October, as was once traditional for me, I went to New York City.
I love New York City. This time, I loved the Metropolitan Museum during two days of wonderful visits!
