Moveable type in the Korean exhibition about the Joseon period at the Asian Art Museum here in SF.

The characters are 'hanja,' those Chinese characters the Koreans borrowed to use when writing Korean before Hangul (the Korean alphabet) was invented. Hanja remained in common use until relatively recently, despite the obvious fact that Hangul is really cool looking! :) Yes, they are backward here so they will print forward.
