During this long Thanksgiving weekend, I've been catching up on "processing" my many travel experiences of the past 18 months. Writing about experiences helps me understand what I really LEARNED from them, and I love learning!
Here are some retrospective notes about my American perspective on visiting Stockholm, which, amazingly, I have now visited TWICE.

I took my first week-long vacation of 2014 this month, in November. It had been so long since I had that much time off, that I was shocked at how pleasant it felt to really relax. It felt healthy. It felt good.
Now that I remember what that is like, I'll be sure I don't wait so long between vacations again.
I went with friends to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. I had a lovely time. Here are my three favorite pictures from the trip.

Zaha Hadid designs some very structurally interesting institutional buildings, and this facility dedicated to the prevention of genocide is interesting in a different way, in that it is made of wood, unlike most of the work I know best by her. This will be built in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
