I know I get excessive in my celebrations of spring, but today I think I was celebrating summer... until it got too warm, and I had to flee the sunlight.

Bougainvillea in the Mission
Between working in San Mateo County and then the pandemic, my wandering in SF has been quite constrained, and so many murals are a great surprise to me.
This one is by Eli Lippert and Monica Magtoto (you can see Eli's close up photos of this one at elilippert.com - I learned that Eli also worked on the Brighton Manor murals, near me). It's from 2019.
Bee
This cherry tree is on a very different schedule from the others in the neighborhood, though I believe it is because it is a different variety. The bee (or friendly bee-like insect) doesn't mind.

Peace Plaza in Spring
I had an appointment near Japan Center, and took a walk through. It's busy! On a weekday! Some beloved things are gone (I'll miss you, Pika Pika!), but others remain with complex monitoring of how many people are inside at any one time. And hand sanitizer everywhere.
It was reassuring. I will return!
