Yes, we live in a great time, when cyanotypes are featured in Wired magazine. You read that correctly. I'm always thrilled to see alt process images in mainstream - and even non-photography-specific - publications.

My {former} photo club has organized an exhibit of contemporary cyanotype photograms!

My {former} photo club has organized an exhibit of contemporary cyanotype photograms!  For those of us who work in photograms, seeing work of this scale in a gallery show is a pleasant surprise.

This review of the show is from a local public television station.  The comments about the impermanence of cyanotypes seem a bit hazy, and likely relate more to using natural bodies of water to complete the chemical reactions than about the otherwise excellent stability of cyanotypes.

(This is also an encouraging step for SF Camerawork, which had often seemed to prefer conventional color work and portraiture.)
