While I went out to see the Boat Tram (yes, I am that kind of person), which was running between the Ferry Building and the tourist piers, I was also able to see parts of the airshow, since they were not contained to the north side of town. It felt like anywhere along the Embarcadero was a viewing area, whether you planned for that or not!
