deYoung's Africa and New Guinea Galleries (24 December 2024)
I especially enjoy the Africa and New Guinea collections at the deYoung, and have slowly been realizing that the abstracts I draw may be what pulls me toward them - I have a lot in common with these artists and their tastes in patterns.
deYoung's Tamara de Limpicka show (24 December 2024)
JM highly recommended the Tamara de Lempicka show at the deYoung, so I went on Christmas Eve to have a look.
I really like her dramatic shading, and the way everyone's eyelids are modeled! I take comfort in the fact that she choose to make fingers cylinders and so models hands so strangely - hands are always tough (not just for AIs).
