Arrivals (Looking Up) (14 June)

Finally looking at the structure between the ship-shapes...

Favorite Hat Stand (14 June)

I'm glad I didn't know these existed, because they look strangely... collectible?  (Seen in an SFO Art Exhibit, Everyday Elegance in Chinese Ceramics.)

Flying out of SFO's Terminal 2, I had a bit of time to enjoy the exhibit put on by the San Francisco Airport Commission, which runs a full museum and many art displays in both the public and post-security areas of the airport.

"The Typewriter: An Innovation in Writing" is a really neat exhibit of how the machines evolved over time. Some started out as one-character-at-a-time machines (kind of like the rotary plastic tape embossers that were popular in offices and schools), some had full sets of separate upper and lower case keys... and yes, the exhibit includes a few non-western-character sets - the Asian sets are AMAZING!!

If you happen to be in T2 post-security, you should really check this out!
